A landmark development on the Mooloolah River in Mooloolaba has won the HIA Apartment Complex of the Year and Apartment of the Year at the 2019 awards. Tangalooma Residences Mooloolaba which features four full floor apartments averaging 500m² in size includes individual marina berths for each apartment and set new benchmarks for apartment prices on the Sunshine Coast when it was completed in late 2018.
Whilst the Noosa apartment market has always lead the Sunshine Coast in terms of price Tangalooma’s sales of $5.85 million for the Level 4 apartment and $5.6 million for the Level 3 apartment were evidence that buyers were willing to pay for the exclusivity of a boutique development in a premium waterfront location. Each apartment in Tangalooma features its own lift and fully customised floor plan.
Tangalooma was developed by local builder Laz Dzufer, who with his partner Grant Kennedy, is now undertaking another premium apartment project in an absolute waterfront location, this time on the Maroochy River in the heart of Maroochydore. Located only 5 minutes from the heart of Maroochydore City Centre the project, Botanica Riverside features only 16 apartments over 8 levels with each residence 310m² in size with prices starting at $2.4 million.
The apartments will feature a full suite of Miele appliances, two separate and distinct living areas, three ensuited bedrooms, gourmet kitchen with walk in pantry and integrated outdoor BBQ area, app activated technology to control key electrical systems and generous storage including a utility room. All bathrooms and laundry have natural ventilation and light, a feature rarely experienced in apartment living. A secured double car garage with storage in the basement for each residence further compliment the unique offering provided by Botanica.
A recreation pavilion for the exclusive use of residents features a gymnasium and a dining room and is complimented by a 20 metre pool with indulgent day beds to allow residents to relax in a resort style setting.
Botanica has been well received by the local market with more than 50% of the development now sold and with construction now underway it is expected to be completed by late 2020. “With the development of Tangalooma it was clear there was a demand from buyers who wanted an exclusive large apartment in a premium location and the success of Botanica is further proof that this market continues to grow. Our intention with Botanica is to create another landmark project like Tangalooma and we believe that demand for this type of product will remain strong” said Mr. Dzufer.
